Sadie came into our lives when she was 11 months old. She had been neglected by her previous owners. When we took her home, she never looked back. She was now part of our family and she knew it!
"That is the sweetest dog!" was the response we heard a lot when people met her. There was not a mean bone in her body. She would greet you with her tail wagging and with a red Kong ball! That red ball went everywhere with her.
Sadie never swam until we took her to our pond. Swimming became a favorite activity. She would hit the water at full speed to retrieve a dummy. She loved going for rides, running with the four-wheeler, walks at the High School complex and playing ball! She could play ball. She was as good as Ozzie Smith!
Sadie became close to maintenance crew at the High School complex. On our walks she would search out any abandoned balls. When she saw members of the crew, she would run to them and then search the maintenance shed and their vehicles for balls. On our last walk they told me they considered her one-of-a-kind and their mascot. They were very kind to Sadie.
Sadie leaves behind her heart broken family and her best buddies Daisy and Mott Lee. Rest in peace sweet girl!
