A beautiful, brown-eyed puppy was born December 10, 2010, and at six weeks of age was adopted and became “Buddy Pritchett”. For many years Buddy loved the farm life he was raised in and most of all, loved chasing rabbits. He was also a skilled underground mole detector with his keen hearing. He never missed a trip in the truck, side-by-side, or sometimes even the tractor. He also enjoyed going to get popcorn at Rural King.
Although never formally trained as one, Buddy was the most devoted service dog ever to his life-long companion, Carl Ray. He was always by his side through thick and thin. A faithful companion that Carl will be incomplete without.
Buddy peacefully went to sleep on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in the arms of his big sister, Carla alongside Dr. Mike Troop. The family would like to thank Dr. Troop and his staff for their kind, compassionate manner, in which Buddy was cared for over the last trying six months and thereafter.
Buddy will also be sadly missed by his second-Best Friend, Bill Rodd as well as many other neighbors and friends who came to know and love him through his 12 short years here on earth. Buddy was one-of-a-kind and will never be forgotten. He truly was everyone’s “Buddy”.
