Marsha (Odom) Huff

Marsha (Odom) Huff, 66 of Pittsburg, Illinois went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at her home surrounded by the love of her family.  Marsha was born on September 23, 1956, the daughter of Ted and Mary Ruth (Boles) Odom.  She was a 1974 graduate of Crab Orchard High School.

Marsha was of the Christian faith. She dedicated her life to caring for her family.  She adored her grandchildren, whom she “loved to the moon and back.”  Over the years, she was known as the caretaker to many members of her family and friends. If someone needed her, she was there for them. Her son, Jesse recalls the magnitude of respect that he carries for his mother, now understanding the caretaker role himself and how much that role means to someone you love.      

She is survived by her husband, Rex Huff; her son, Jesse (Brandy) Orr; her stepsons, Justin Huff and Jason Bradley; her stepdaughter, Charla (Gene) Samples; her grandchildren, Tyler, Jourdyn, Charli, Wyatt, Caden, Isabella, Ivy and Christopher; her brother, Keith (Sharon) Odom; her sisters-in law, Gayle Odom, Leslie Odom, along with other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles Orr; her brothers, Roger, Jeff, and Randall Odom; her sister, Deanna Odom; and her grandson, Wade Orr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 10:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home located at 1702 West Boulevard Street in Marion.  Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pittsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to a church of the donor’s choice.
