Johnnie Moore Obituary

Marion- Johnnie Mae Moore, 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Integrity Health Care.

Johnnie Mae was born on May 26, 1934, to Willie and Roseann Marshall in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Johnnie Mae Marshall married Harry Moore, who preceded her in death in 1973. Johnnie Mae worked for the VA Hospital after graduation from the VA School of Nursing. She graduated from Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce Business School with a certificate of business on June 27, 1981.

She was a long-term member of Paul Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Robbins, IL. She always took care of elderly, disabled children, and anyone in need of care, comfort, or support. She was God's child who obeyed Him and did what was asked of her. She was a sincere friend and favorite Aunt Johnnie to all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Roseann Marshall. Also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Cleo, Jimmy Dale, and Curtis Marshall. She is survived by her four children Roger (Kay) Marshall, Raymond Marshall, Latricia Dickens (Charles), and Rita Lacy. She has three living siblings. Willie Jay Marshall (Hazel), Henry Marshall (Maggie) and Joe Marshall (Anne).

She loved all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She had many great nieces and nephews she loved with all her heart. She walked in Faith along with her favorite cousins, best friend and all that loved the Lord.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM at Paul Chapel Baptist Church in Marion, IL. Memorial services will follow directly after the visitation, with Pastor, Virgil Walton officiating. Binkley-Ross Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements under the direction of Joni Binkley-Ross.

Rest in Peace. Trust in the Lord and wait upon the Lord, She saith. For God has the answers. Until we meet again our Beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt Johnnie, Friend, and Child of God.
