Gerald Dean Barnett

Gerald Dean Barnett, 89 of Marion, Illinois, passed away at the Veteran’s Administration Facility on June 1, 2024.  Gerald was born on June 9, 1934, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Charles and Nellie (nee Werry) Barnett.

Mr. Barnett served our grateful Nation as Staff Sergeant for the United States Air Force.  He also enjoyed working as a photographer.

Gerald is survived by his niece Dawn Putman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Donald Barnett.

Binkley-Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Mr. Barnett’s wishes were to be cremated with inurnment to take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
