Springfield-William “Bill” L. Minton II, 45, formerly of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Bill was born on February 15, 1970 in Oaklawn, IL to William and Nancy (Dunaway) Minton. He was of Baptist faith. Bill was an avid technology enthusiast. He enjoyed photography, motorcycles and playing basketball. His children were his life. Bill will be missed by all. Survivors include: Children-Jada, Lana, Levi and Jonah Mother-Nancy Minton Sisters-Pam Mayhew and husband Mike and Tracey Lowe and husband Rick Brother-Rick Minton and wife Ginger Nieces and nephews-Ben Minton, Heather Doughty, Tahnee Duarte, Hollie Utley and Lexie Ramsey He was preceded in death by his father Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11am at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Eddie Donelson officiating. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
