Wilda Heavener

Stonefort--Wilda Lea Heavener, 63, of Stonefort, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 5:37 PM at her home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 5-6 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial services will be held directly following at 6 PM at the funeral home with Reverend John Howat officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois; envelopes are available during the services or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Wilda was born on December 30, 1947 in Harrisburg to James & Wilma (Shadowens) Swan. She married Douglas E. Heavener on March 21, 1997 in Marion. He preceded her on October 9, 2009 Survivors include her children, Tammy & Jeff Whitehead of Pittsburg and Teresa & Fiancée’ Paul Fisher of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Leah Whitehead & Emily Whitehead; mother, Wilma Swan of Carrier Mills; brothers, Jim & Sheryl Swan and Tim & Tami Swan all of Carrier Mills; sisters, Patty Harris of Stonefort and Cheryl & Jerry Lindsay of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews and extended family members. Wilda was preceded in death by her father James and husband, Douglas. Wilda was a former manager working in retail sales. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved doting on her grandchildren.
