Vernon G. Begeman

Marion- Vernon Gale Begeman, age 75, of Marion, passed away at 8:20am on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at his residence in Marion. Vernon was born in Garrison, ND on January 28, 1933, the son of Bessie Begeman. He served as a medic in the United States Navy. Survivors include a daughter- Cheryl Alexander of Kellogg, MN; three grandchildren- Jon Shaffer of Seattle, WA; Emmett Shaffer of Minneapolis, MN; and Jessie Shaffer of New Richland, MN; several cousins and second cousins; and many friends in Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother, and two sisters- Linda Begeman Flanders and Ruby Begeman. Private family services will be held at a later date in Blackduck, MN.
