Thomas Gilbert Spees

Thomas Gilbert Spees, age 59, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at his home in Marion, Illinois.

Tom was born February 28, 1963 in Marion, Illinois, a son of Charles G. and Norma Jean (Rosenberger) Spees.  Tom grew up in Marion, IL and graduated Marion High School in 1981.  He collected baseball cards when he was younger and loved his many pets and cats.  He was a huge Van Halen fan and followed the Minnesota Vikings Football. 

He is survived by two brothers, Todd M. Spees of Saint Petersburg, FL, Terry Spees of Herrin, IL, sister-in-law Tammy Stewart of Crab Orchard, IL and his niece, Sarah (Eric) Burd, nephew Ryan (Erin) Spees, niece Lauren (Alex) McCree, nephew Jacob (Kendra) Spees, nephew Ty Spees, and niece Alex Spees.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles G. and Norma Jean Spees and brother, Tim Spees and sister-in-law Donna Spees.

Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on December 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
