Thomas Eugene Miskelley, of Marion, Illinois, passed away at his winter home in Naples, Florida, on April 2, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1947, in Marion, the son of Timothy and Dottie (Dorsett) Miskelley. He was united in marriage to Beulah Little on June 3, 1967, at Davis Prairie Church and they shared over 43 years of marriage until her passing in 2010.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era as a medic. He carried that servant’s heart with him long after his time in uniform. One story, in particular, seemed to follow him through life. While serving in Vietnam, he cared for a badly injured survivor of a helicopter crash. Nearly 50 years later, while on vacation with his sister, a man approached him and asked if he had been a medic in the Army. As it turns out, he was the very man Tom had cared for all those years ago. When asked how he knew, the man simply said he never forgot Tom’s voice and how calm and comforting it was when he needed it most. That was Tom.

Back home, Tom spent over 35 years working for AT&T as an installation technician. He was dependable and took pride in his work.

But more than anything, Tom was a family man. He is survived by his sons: Dwayne (Tammy) Miskelley, Vincent Miskelley, and Stacy (Carrie) Miskelley. He was a proud grandpa to Andrew, Keaton, Rebecca, Karsyn, Kerigan, and Samantha, and a great grandpa to Hallee and Phillip. He is also survived by three siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Beulah, and seven siblings, whom he missed dearly.

Tom was a member of the Marion VFW and Davis Prairie Baptist Church. He and Beulah made a lifetime of memories traveling to places like Pigeon Forge, Myrtle Beach, Dollywood, and Silver Dollar City. Closer to home, they loved camping and fishing at Rend Lake and Crab Orchard Lake—simple days that meant the most.
