Starla Roseanne Bertinetti

Starla Roseanne Bertinetti, 61 of Herrin, passed away at 7:38 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Herrin Hospital. Starla was born on May 24, 1956 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Ray and Velma (White) Willis. She was a retired Home Economics teacher at Belleville West School and a bus driver. She was a volunteer at Southern Illinois Worship Center in Herrin, and a member of The Loft Prayer Group in Herrin. She was a caregiver to many and loved helping others. She drove for Meals on Wheels and often prepared meals for others. Survivors include- Daughter- Michelle Bertinetti of Johnston City, Illinois Son- Anthony Bertinetti and wife Dawn, of O’Fallon, Missouri Two Grandchildren- Logan Anthony Smith of Johnston City, Illinois and Zachary Alan Porch of Johnston City, Illinois Brother- Kenny Willis of Herrin, Illinois She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Willis Services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home located at 201 South 13th Street in Herrin, Illinois with Pastor Kerry Cox officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 beginning at 11:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Herrin City Cemetery.
