Stanley Lotus Thomas Gourley

Stanley Lotus Thomas Gourley, age 70, of Thompsonville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home in Thompsonville, Illinois.

Stanley was born February 02, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Dossie and Lucille (Filipek) Gourley. He married the love of his life, Patsy Lamphere on September 03, 1977 in Marion. Stanley was a proud United States Navy Veteran. He was a jack of all trades, specializing in construction and carpentry.

He is survived by his spouse- Patsy (Lamphere) Gourley of Thompsonville, IL; four children- Richie (Tina) Gursky, Rena Gursky, Kandra (Darrell Peppers) Gourley, and Jolene (Michael Norris) Gourley; grandchildren- Austin and Ashton Gourley, Kirsten (Hunter Mattingly) Gursky, Aaron Gourley, Dustin Peppers, Kourtney (Eric Young) Gursky-Dillon, Josie Gursky, and Bryan Gursky; his mother- Lucille (Filipek) Gourley; three siblings- Liz Ogden, Stephen (Suzanne) Gourley, and Lucille Allen; sister-in-law- Peggy Gourley; Great Grandchildren- Axel Dillon, Tanner Young, Liam Young and one on the way.

He is preceded in death by one grandson- Dalton Gourley; his father- Dossie "Shorty" Gourley; brother- Daniel Gourley and brother-in-law- Randy Ogden.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 26th, 2023 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Military honors will be presented at the funeral home at 2pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
