Shirley Mae Winters (Kneezle), beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by her family. Born to George and Elma Kneezle, Shirley grew up with her brother Alvin Kneezle, all of whom preceded her in death.

Shirley married the love of her life, Alta Winters, and together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was one of deep devotion, partnership, and unwavering support, and their love continued to guide her long after Alta’s passing.

A woman known for her kindness, strength, and gentle spirit, Shirley devoted her life to her family. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and unconditional love.

She is survived by her children, Richard Winters of Pittsburg, IL, and Tina Horvath of Marion, IL. Shirley was a proud and devoted grandmother to Cameron & Marie Taylor of Marion, IL; Zachary & Destanie Taylor of Crab Orchard, IL; and Richard Winters Jr. of De Soto, IL.

She leaves behind a cherished legacy through her great-grandchildren: Michael Taylor, Brantley Taylor, Briar Taylor, Baylee Taylor, Barrett Taylor, Lydia Winters, Lillian Winters, and Anna Winters.

Shirley’s love, humor, and gentle presence touched all who knew her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
