SHIRLEY J. REICHERT Herrin- Shirley J. Reichert, 73, of Herrin, went to be with her Lord at 11:35 AM, Monday, January 19, 2004 at her home, with her family by her side. Shirley was born May 27, 1930 in Aurora, Illinois to William D. & Gladys (Kazar) Miller. She married Samuel L. Reichert on March 15, 1953 in Plainfield, Illinois. Sam survives her. She was a lifelong resident of Plainfield until retiring to Southern Illinois seven years ago. She was 1948 graduate of Plainfield High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church. Her & her husband enjoyed their kids, grandkids. They also enjoyed collecting antiques and having auctions. Survivors Include: Husband of 51 years: Samuel L. Reichert of Herrin Two Sons: Samuel L. Reichert, Jr. & wife Lynn of Plainfield, IL. Scott R. Reichert of Herrin Two Daughters: Sharon S. Kozak of Plainfield, IL. Stacy J. Bennett & husband Edwin of Anna Seven Grandchildren: Tim Harmon, Sunny Reichert, Ken & Jacob Kozak, Scott, Bo & Mike Bennett Brother: William D. Miller & wife Joyce of Plainfield, IL. Two Sisters: Carol Sue McGrath of Plainfield, IL. Sally Koch & husband Sam of Plainfield, IL. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
