Sherry Lynn Franks

Sherry Lynn Franks, age 63, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Memorial Hospital Carbondale in Carbondale, Illinois.

Sherry was born August 18, 1960 in Marion, Illinois, a daughter of Herbert C. Rix and Peggy S. (Neber) Miller. She married the love of her life, James Franks. He survives in Marion. Prior to retiring, Sherry had worked as an aide in home healthcare.

She is survived by her husband- James Franks of Marion; four sons- Anthony (Padra) Franks, Aadam (Adrienne) Franks, Aaron (Maria Estrada) Franks, and Charlie Ray Franks; two siblings- Tom (Kathy) Rix and Stephanie (Jason) Brimm; grandchildren- Amiah, Felix, Aaradhya, Amarii, Artimuz, Zoe, Jaelynn, Patrick and Jordan Franks; niece and nephew- Shelby and Austin Modglin; and nephews- Brandon, Ryan, and Joey Rix.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert C. Rix and Peggy S. (Neber) Miller and two siblings, Allen Rix and Junellen Rix.

Private burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.
