Scott T. Shannon

Scott T. Shannon, 68, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

He was born on February 12, 1958, the son of Ernie Shannon and Fay (Colp) Shannon.

Scott worked in the electronics department at Walmart for more than 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time at the gun range with his cousin, John Alongi, attending Renaissance fairs, watching television and anime, and spending time with his family and friends. Scott and John shared a lifelong bond that was more like brothers than cousins. Together they were often compared to Laurel and Hardy, always enjoying each other’s company and bringing laughter to those around them.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Crystal McCrady; his cousins, John Alongi and Angela Higgins; along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Fay Shannon; and his cherished life partner, Carol Little.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Blue Funeral Home, 1704 North Court Street, Marion, Illinois.
