Sally Dawn Hope passed away on May 9, 2026. Sally was born on October 4, 1953, in Greenville, Kentucky, to Barbara and Otto Hope, Jr. She graduated from Marion High School in 1971 and attended John A. Logan College. Sally worked at the VA Hospital in Marion, IL before spending the rest of her career at the US Postal Service. She worked many years at the front desk at Marion Post Office. Since retiring she has enjoyed real estate, working at Menards, ushering at the Marion Civic Center, being a member at First Baptist Church in Marion, and golfing at Lake of Egypt Country Club.
Sally is survived by her beloved daughter, Camilla Hope and son-in-law Yue, her wonderful Aunt Patsy, her brother, Jeff Hope, her sisters, Tina Bernstein (Nathan) and Melissa Gallip, her sister-in-law Helen Hope, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sally was preceded in death by her mother, father, and older brother Terry Hope.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at Blue Funeral Home located at 1704 North Court Street, Marion. Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00. Inurnment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be directed to Marion Cultural and Civic Center. Envelopes will be available at the service. Please visit www.binkleyross.com to leave online condolences.
