Ruth Ann Harris Pittsburg—Ruth Ann Harris, 81 of Pittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 4:51 PM at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services for Ruth will be on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Eddie Donelson officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Ruth Ann was born in Johnston City to Leland & Linnie (Motsinger) Harris on Sunday, March 15, 1931. Ms. Harris is survived by cousins, Dale Motsinger and Larry Motsinger & their families of Pittsburg; nieces & nephews; great nieces & nephews and a host of friends from Pittsburg. Ruth Ann is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Glenn Harris; aunt, Iva Dell Summers & uncle, Gerald Summers. Ms. Harris was retired from the Veteran’s Administration in the Canteen Department. She attended Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church.
