Ruby D. Bandy

Herrin- Ruby D. Bandy, 71, of Herrin, passed away at 4:30 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Herrin Hospital. Ruby was born on August 31, 1937 in Tennessee to John & Sarah Cheatham. She married Robert Bob Bandy in 1952 in Pocahontas, Ark. He survives of Herrin. Ruby was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her husband; watching TV, going out to eat, shopping and visiting relatives. She was saved by Rev. Don Colson. Survivors include- Husband- Robert Bob bandy of Herrin Son- Robert Lee Bandy of Herrin Grandchild- Jason R. Bandy of Herrin Grandchild- Shannon R. Bandy of Johnston City Sister- Vergie Smith of Herrin Sister- Opal Smith of Herrin Sister- Reba Nell Cutsinger & husband Don of Battle Creek, Mich. Several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers & two sisters. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
