Robert Anthony "Bob" Bartlett

Robert “Bob” Anthony Bartlett, 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Herrin Hospital.

He was born on April 30, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Robert Bartlett and Mary Lou (Travelstead) Bartlett.

Bob spent much of his career painting boats before joining AISIN, where he faithfully worked on the assembly line for the past ten years.

A city boy at heart, Bob found his greatest joy in spending time with the people he loved most. He especially treasured taking small road trips in his beloved red Corvette with his wife, Marcia. He loved riding his four-wheeler, building LEGO creations with his grandchildren, and making memories with his family. Above all else, Bob’s greatest love was being “Pops” to his grandchildren. He also attended Abundant Life Church with his son, Jason.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marcia (Girtman) Bartlett; his son, Jason (Nicole) Bartlett; his cherished grandchildren, Rachel Turner, Jackson Bartlett, Emma Bartlett, and RyLynn Bartlett; his brother, Dave (Misty) Bartlett and children; his sister-in-law, Rose Bartlett; his nephews, Jeff Bartlett and Bill (Lisa) Bartlett and children; his brother Mike's daughter Jessica Harris and children; his great-niece, Faith Iler; along with several extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lou Bartlett; his brothers, Mike Bartlett and Bill Bartlett; his niece, Colleen Bartlett; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Margaret Girtman.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Blue Funeral Home, 812 S. Broadway, Goreville, Illinois. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jake True officiating. Interment will follow at Cana Cemetery in Goreville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
