Rebecca "Becky" Ann Goins

Rebecca “Becky” Goins, lovingly known to most as Becky, was born on November 14, 1959, in Marion, Illinois, the daughter of Gilbert Loren Hanks and Edith Mae (Franklin) Hanks. She passed away on February 18, 2026, in DuQuoin, Illinois.

Becky was a familiar and friendly face to many through her work at Walmart, where she spent time in the fitting room and later as a door greeter. She had a way of making people feel noticed and welcome — a simple smile, a warm hello, and a kind spirit that never went unnoticed.

More than anything, Becky loved her family. She enjoyed spending time together and rarely missed one of the kids’ ballgames. Whether sitting in the stands cheering them on or gathering everyone close for visits, her happiest moments were spent with those she loved most.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Goins and wife Casey, and Daniel Goins and wife Tina; her cherished grandchildren, Mason, Laiken, Brayden, Kandice, Kyle, and Lexington; along with other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Goins, and her daughter, Susan Goins.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Blue Funeral Home, located at 1704 North Court Street in Marion, Illinois. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Ralph Brandon officiating. Interment to follow at Cypress Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the service or may be mailed in care of Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 39, Marion, Illinois.
