Phillip "Keith" Jackson, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in Marion, Illinois.

Keith was born October 27, 1948, in Creal Springs, Illinois, the son of William and Mary (Goodwin) Jackson.

Keith worked for Amex Coal as a heavy equipment operator, a career he truly loved and took great pride in.

Above all else, Keith loved the Lord and always put God first. His strong faith guided his life and his love for his wife, Ann, and his family. He was a devoted member of Full Gospel Tabernackle.

Keith was a true horseman with a lifelong love for horses, especially showing them and sharing that passion with his family. He was a member of the NBHA, IBRA, and many saddle clubs throughout the years. Keith also had a special love for hound dogs and enjoyed listening to them run.

Keith is survived by his wife, Ann Jackson, his children Jamie (Byron) Adams and Casey (Keala) Jackson. He is also survived by his grandchildren; McKager Ferrell, McKayla (Walter) Coogan, Cole (Abbie) Jackson, Gracie Jackson, Bryson Adams, and his great grandchild, Casen Coogan. He also leaves behind his brother, Terry Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Jackson and brother in law, Tim Blankenship.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Blue Funeral Home, 1704 North Court Street, Marion. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. with John Burnett officiating. Interment will follow at Creal Springs City Cemetery.
