Peggy Burnett

Peggy Burnett, of Johnston City, Illinois, passed away on February 13, 2025. Peggy was born on May 17, 1945, to James and Mildred Bird in Ohio. 

Peggy was married to Frank Burnett, and together they shared a life centered around family. She was the loving mother of one son, Dain Burnett.

Peggy enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and scrapbooking. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family and held a special place in her heart for her many furry friends.

She is survived by her brothers, Jim Rose of Tennessee, Richard Bird of Washington, Jerry Bird of Washington, Robert Bird of Arizona, and Michael Bird of Michigan, along with other relatives and friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Bird; her husband Frank Burnett; her son Dain Burnett; two sisters, Debbie Robinson of Indiana and Joyce Martin of Colorado; and one brother, John Bird of Michigan.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Peggy will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, her creativity, and her lifelong affection for the animals who brought her so much companionship and joy.
