Paula Chaney Marion-Paula A. Chaney, 64, of Marion, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 4:48 AM in Heartland Regional Medical Center. Memorial services for Paula will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Gilbert Evans officiating. A time of gathering for friends and family preceding the service starts at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to help in the care of her son, Brian; envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959. Paula was born on Thursday, April 17, 1947 in Marion to Paul & Dania (Otey) Edwards. She married Earl Chaney who preceded her in 2000. She is survived by her son, Brian P. Chaney of Marion; brother, Jeff Edwards of Pittsburg; aunt, Ann Otey; several cousins and precious friends, Sue & Gilbert Evans and Ellen Kay Freres. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Paula was formerly employed at Wal-Mart as a cashier and at Washington Elementary School. She was very active in the PTA at Washington School. Paula enjoyed craft projects and quilting.
