Orville R. Smiley

Orville R. Smiley, age 73, of Marion, died Tuesday, October 2nd at 2:30 p.m. at his home. He had worked as a chain link fence installer for Terrace Fence Company. Mr. Smileys body was cremated. There was no visitation. Graveside services were at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7th at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Paulton. Rev. Guy Bloodworth officiated. Orville was born December 16, 1927 in Marion, Illinois, to Orville Wren & Lillie (Pulley) Smiley. They preceded him in death. He married Sandra Kay Jack on September 28, 1973 in Marion. Survivors include his wife of Marion; four sons and one daughter, Mike Smiley of Utah, Patrick Smiley of Carterville, Robert Smiley of Florida, Ernest Ray Smiley of Marion, and Mary Lynn Smiley of Washington; a step-son, Harold Smith of Key West, Florida and a step-daughter, Kimberly Moore of Marion. He is also survived by several grandchildren and one brother, Gene Smiley and one sister, Lucille Jones, both of Marion.
