Herrin-Norman Dale Sloan, 58, died 12:45 A.M., Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at his residence. Dale was born January 11, 1947 in Milan, Tennessee to Norman Guy & Lorene (Moseley) Sloan. He married Judith Daugherty (Spiller) Sloan on May 8, 2004 in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives. He was a former coal miner. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He served his country while being stationed in Guam. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors Include: Wife: Judith Sloan of Herrin Mother: Lorene Sloan of Herrin Twin Sister: Gail Mosley of St. Louis, MO. Step Son: Jerry Morgan of Cape Girardeau, MO. Step Daughter: Jennifer Morgan of Cambria Two Step Grandchildren: Amiyah and Kobe Myers of Cambria Mother-In-Law: Pauline Spiller of Carterville He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Herrin American Legion & VFW posts. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
