Mitzi Jean Hamlett

Mitzi Jean Hamlett, 78, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 10:19 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Jean was born January 25, 1930 in Williamson County the daughter of Rosco & Fern (McInturff) Cox. She married Robert Wayne Hamlett on January 14, 1950 and together they shared over 47 years of marriage until his death on December 30, 1997. Jean was a member of Second Baptist Church, formerly teaching Sunday School. She retired from Marion Memorial Hospital working as an LPN in the ICU. She is survived by her Two Daughters; Karen Williams of Marion Sharon Rumsey and husband Robert of Zeigler Three Grandchildren; Christopher Bundren and wife Brytney of Herrin Zachary Rumsey of Zeigler Amanda Williams of Marion Great Grandchild Torryn Bundren of Herrin Brother Charles Edward Cox of Pittsburg Three Nieces; Debbie & Dennis Fritz Valerie & Mark Schafka Cheryl & Michael Nardozzi Preceded by her Parents and Husband, Robert Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
