Michael Ray Pike

Michael Ray Pike passed from this world on Monday, February 26, 2024 in Carbondale, Illinois at the age of 70. He was born on June 18, 1953 to William and Geneva (Vinson) Pike. Mike was a graduate of Marion Senior High School and Southern Illinois University. He lived most of his adult life in Carbondale and worked in the grocery business. Mike loved Saluki basketball and cultural events on campus. He lived simply but was very intelligent and easygoing. Mike is survived by a brother, Steve Pike, of Pittsburg, three sisters, Debra (Steve) Buchanan of Plainfield, Sherry (Kent) Hunter of O' Fallon, Missouri and April (Mike) Brown of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Danny Pike, and a niece and nephew. According to his wishes, Mike was cremated and inurnment will be at a later date at County Line Cemetery in Creal Springs.
