Michael Harris

Harrisburg- Michael Roe Harris, 66, of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:00 AM, Monday, January 08, 2018 at Harrisburg Medical Center. Michael was born on May 20, 1951 in Texas to Raymond John and Blanche (Roe) Harris. He was a retired coal miner having worked for 20 years as a miner operator. He was a member of Progressive Mine Workers of America and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and talking about guns. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Survivors include- 2 sons- Christopher Harris- Cincinnati, OH James Harris and wife Bethany of Corinth Brother- Lloyd Harris and wife Marcia of Marion Brother in law- John Furlow of Creal Springs Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, sister- Jeanene Furlow and two half- brothers- Jack Harris and Don Harris. It was his wish to be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial arrangements were made at Blue Funeral Home in Marion.
