Mary Belle Priddy, 84, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on February 19, 2026, of natural causes. Born on January 16, 1942, in Greenbrier, Missouri, to the late William G. Owens and Anna M. Owens, Mary lived a full life marked by warmth, laughter, and a deep devotion to the people she loved.
On August 6, 1966, Mary married Barry Oliver, and together they built a life centered around family. Mary spent years working as a caregiver for the elderly, a role that came naturally to someone with such a generous and compassionate heart. Her caring nature extended to everyone she met, and her good sense of humor made even ordinary moments memorable.
Mary had a spirited personality and a zest for life that never faded. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and loved to go out dancing in her younger years. She enjoyed nights out at Red Lobster and Chinese buffets, trips to the movies, and quiet afternoons spent fishing. At home, she could often be found playing Yahtzee or watching her favorite reality shows, especially Survivor. Those who drove in front of her knew well that when the traffic light turned green, you had better move and do it quickly.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Oliver; her son, Mark Oliver; her parents; her sisters, Sharron Martinez, Eula P. Bierwirth, and Doris Trainum; and her brothers, William H. Owens, Bernard Owens, Carol Owens, and Robert V. Owens.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Derrick; her sons, Clint Oliver and Patrick Oliver; her sister, Janet Richardson; her niece, Brandy Martinez Tully; Sandy Owens; and numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
May Mary find eternal peace and rest in the loving arms of her Lord. Arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Service details will be announced by the family.
