Mary L. Helm

Marion- Mary L. Helm, 83, of Marion, died at 1:50 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at her home. Mary was born on Christmas Eve 1919 in Carrier Mills to Charles & Teeny (Smith) Watson. She married Wesley O. Bud Helm on May 5, 1940 in DesLodge, MO. He survives of Marion. Mrs. Helm was a homemaker and a lifetime member and former secretary of the Marion Third Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: Husband- Wesley O. Bud Helm- Marion Son & dau in law- Jon W. & Jane Helm- Ft. Worth, TX Dau & son in law- Judy & Gary Nolen- Marion Dau & son in law- Nancy & Bob Tucker- Marion Seven Grandchildren: Kimberly Walker Natalie Nolen Bruce Edwards Amy Gentry Tressie Tucker Jon Helm James Helm Three Great Grandchildren: Jessica Helm Jacquelyn Helm Caleb Gentry She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; John, Charles & Frank Watson, and five sisters; Katherine Mitchell, Lucille Wallerowitz, Esther Irwin, and Mayme Baker. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. David Hancock will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
