Margaret Ann Powell

Margaret Ann Powell, age 82, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

Margaret was born August 26, 1939 in Williamson County, Illinois, a daughter of Henry and Lillian M. (Hudgens) Hollis. She married the love of her life, Dennis Powell in 1974. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1996.  Prior to her retirement, Margaret had worked in healthcare as a caregiver. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by four children, Doyle Ray (Kathy) Hilliard, Dianna (Dee) Stahlhut, Talenna Hilliard-Horn, and Kathleen Hilliard;  Thirteen Grandchildren; Thirty-Six Great Grandchildren; and three Great Great Grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Powell; two daughters, Karen Lee Hilliard and Rita Mae Hilliard; two grandchildren, Aaron Mask and Kristina Sieveking; her parents, Henry Lee and Lillian M. (Hudgens) Hollis; and one sister, Kathryn Louise Van Winkle.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18th, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, 2:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery in Marion.
