Mamie Marks, 98, died Tuesday, March 02, 2004 at 11:30 A.M. in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Mamie was born November 23, 1905 to Robert E. and Georgia Ann (Sisk) Brigham in Zeigler. She married Ira Marks on November 01, 1924 in Williamson County and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1969. Mamie was a homemaker and a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Marion. Survivors include: Two (2) Sons; David Marks and wife Wanda of West Frankfort Allen Marks and wife Nancy of Marion One (1) Daughter; Virginia Stahlhut of Florrisant, MO Nine (9) Grandchildren; Kimberley & Tony Owens of Marion Karen & Chris Loyd of Edwardsville, IL Jason Marks & Fiance Stacy Herod of Maryland Heights, MO David & Anna Marks of Seattle, WA Gean & Joe Mango of Florrisant, MO Pat & Bill Bennett of Longview, TX Beverly & Steve Stillwell of Fenton, MO Linda & Gary Lottman of Southerland, IA Jim & Kate Waggoner of Rapid City, SD Sixteen (16) Great-Grandchildren; Ryan, Kailey & Michael Owens of Marion Dawson & Dylan Loyd of Edwardsville Preston Marks of Seattle, WA Jennifer Burchfield of St. Peter, MO Pam Binder of St. Peter, MO Jackie Binder of Florrisant, MO Tracy Savage of Longview, TX Jeff Bennett of Dallas, TX Patty Sueme of Fenton, MO Michelle & Melissa Allen of Fenton, MO Melanie Lottman of Des Moines, IA Mari Waggner of Grand Junction, CO Five (5) Great-Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by: Parents, Husband, Daughter Winifred Waggoner, Two (2) Grandchildren Bryan Stahlhut & Matt Lottman, 2 Great-Grandchildren. Mamie was the last surviving child of fourteen children, preceded by 11 Sisters and 2 Brothers. Funeral services will be Friday, March 05, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
