Madalene H. Antonini

Madalene Antonini, 90, of Herrin, passed away December 29, 2022, at the Herrin Hospital. 

Madalene was born in Herrin on June 4, 1932, the daughter of Carlo and Teresa Antonini. 

Madalene enjoyed raising a garden and planting flowers. She also enjoyed fishing and mowing grass. Madalene loved the outdoors and spent most of her life farming and raising hogs.  She also worked at the Herrin Hospital in the housekeeping department where she retired in 1997. Madalene was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. 

Madalene was preceded in death by her father- Carlo Antonini, mother- Teresa Antonini and brothers- Roy Antonini and Frank Antonini. 

Survivors include nephews Jack Antonini (Penny) and Tom Antonini; and cousins Joanne Kuhnke and Charles DeTomasi. 

Visitation will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the service following at 2:00pm. Father Brian Barker will officiate. Internment will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin.
