Luther Aaron

West Frankfort- Luther L. Aaron, 81, of West Frankfort, passed away at 3:14 AM, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, November 14, 2004, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion. Luther was born on July 10, 1923 in Johnston City, IL to Fred & Ollie (Jones) Aaron. He married his loving wife of forty-six years, Fletta Gossage on July 17, 1958 in Johnston City. She survives of West Frankfort. Mr. Aaron was a WWII Army veteran. He worked as a firemans engineer at Olin Corp in the Ordill area until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing for catfish at Crab Orchard Lake & hunting rabbits. He was of protestant faith. SURVIVORS: Wife- Fleeta Aaron- West Frankfort Son & daughter in law- Theron Dale & LeAnn Aaron- West Frankfort Grandson- Daniel Jackson Aaron- attending college in St. Louis Granddaughter- Amber Marie Aaron- West Frankfort He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and two sisters. Private visitation and funeral services will be held at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Roger Teal will officiate. Burial with military rites provided by the Herrin VFW & American Legion Posts will follow at Herrin City Cemetery.
