Lucille Hancock-Dickey GOREVILLE-Lucille Hancock-Dickey, 83, of Goreville passed away at 10:20 AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Blue Funeral Home in Goreville with Reverend Kenneth Blumenstock officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Busby Cemetery in Goreville. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice; envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be sent co Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, Illinois, 62959. Mrs. Hancock-Dickey was born on July 15, 1922 in Johnson County, Illinois to Herb and Lena (Hodge) Billingsley. She married Jack Hancock on February 2, 1940 in Jackson, Missouri; he preceded her in death on May 30, 1974. She later married Mervil Dickey on November 3, 1978 in Sesser, Illinois; he preceded her in death on December 23, 1989. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jack Donnie and Sue Hancock of Goreville; grandson and wife, Roger and Jennifer Hancock of Marion; great grandson, Chase Hancock; brother and sister-in-law, George and Verna Billingsley of Goreville; sister-in-law, Faye Billingsley of Herrin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Marie Hancock of Kankakee; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; granddaughter, Melissa Denee’ Hancock; brother, Bobby Gail Billingsley; brother-in-law, W.T. “Jim” Hancock; and sister-in-law, Pam Moore. Mrs. Hancock-Dickey was a member of Busby Church in Goreville. She worked at Sangamo Electric, Newton Grocery, and the Good Luck Glove Factory. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and the Goreville Women’s Club and a former member of the White Shrine. Lucille loved her family, her friends, her community and her animals.
