Lowell L. Skelton

Carbondale- Lowell L. Skelton, age 70, of Carbondale, passed away at 12:26pm on Thursday June 8, 2017 at Integrity Nursing Home in Marion. Lowell was born the son of Eugene and Gertrude (Ragsdale) Skelton. He is survived by his son- Lowell Skelton Jr. of Creal Springs, daughter- Melissa and David Draper of Carterville, son- Lewis Skelton of Florida, four grandchildren, and two brothers- Bruce and Robert Skelton, both of Carbondale. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Buncombe.  A time of visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am on Monday at the funeral home.
