KENNETH ALAN LaBELLE
Kenneth Alan LaBelle ("Ken" or "Kenny"), 74, of Woodstock, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026.
Born April 28, 1952, in Woodstock, Illinois, Ken was the son of the late Kenneth H. LaBelle and Marjorie (Peterson) LaBelle. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy (Dickerson) LaBelle & his parents.
Ken owned and operated LaBelle Masonry until retiring in 1997. He later turned his lifelong passion for fishing into a second career by founding Morning Affair Charters on Lake Michigan. He was happiest on the water, sharing his love of fishing with family, friends, and customers. When he wasn't on Lake Michigan, he enjoyed spending time at his lake house on Lake of Egypt, his favorite place to relax and be with those he loved. Ken was also a proud member of Woodstock Moose Lodge #1329.
Before marrying Judy, Ken shared 23 years of marriage with Michelle, who was the mother of Nicholas and lovingly helped raise Tammy and Nathan. Although their marriage eventually ended, they remained on good terms and continued to share the joy of watching their children and grandchildren grow.
Ken is survived by his children, Tammy (Rich) Merryman, Nathan LaBelle, and Nicholas LaBelle; stepdaughters, Hailey (Jeff) Doyle and Kelsey Lisching; grandchildren Megan, Sydney, Kali, Richard, Taidgen, Sage, Colin, Gibson, and Evan; siblings Candy (Ed) Bentley, Connie (Paul) Weathersby, Pam (Tim) Fisher, and Tom (Jeannie) LaBelle; twelve nieces and nephews; and eighteen great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at a future date.
