Katherine M. Glisson

Watson- Katherine M. Glisson, 81, of Watson, formerly of Tuscola and Herrin, passed away at 1:50 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2006 at her home in Watson. Katherine was born on March 17, 1924 in Herrin, to John Benjamin & Maude (Strunk) Bradshaw. She married Virgil N. Glisson on August 5, 1952 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on August 25, 2001. Mrs. Glisson was a homemaker in her own home and enjoyed oil painting, quilting and craftwork. She was a member of the Effingham Assembly of God. SURVIVORS: Son- Johnnie P. Brown- Effingham, IL Son & daughter in law- Butch & Lonnie Glisson- Desoto, IL Daughter & son in law- Karen & Denton Nelson- Mason, IL Ten Grandchildren Numerous Great & Great Great Grandchildren Sister- Patsy Engram- Marion Sister & brother in law- Peggy & Junior Wade- Herrin Nieces & Nephews- Several She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Corrine Jones, and grandchild; Michael Glisson. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Wallace will officiate. Burial will follow at Elkville Cemetery.
