Judy Ann McRoy

Judy Ann McRoy, 79, of Marion, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on August 12, 2026.

Judy was born on October 24, 1946, in Marion, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph Perry and Nellie (Davis) Perry. On March 9, 1966, she married Jerry McRoy, who survives.

Judy spent many years working in housekeeping, first at the Regal 8 Motel and later at the Comfort Inn in Marion, where she retired after a dedicated career.

In her free time, Judy enjoyed working puzzles and, most of all, spending time with her family. She especially loved being “Mama” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought tremendous joy to her life.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry McRoy; her children, Leigh Ann (McRoy) and TK Hacker, Neil McRoy, Jamie and Jodie (Street) McRoy, and Brett and Angie (Cole) McRoy; her grandchildren, Stefan and (Shayne), Kaecie, Cody, Tiffany, Aaron, Brooke-Lyn, Kayla, Danielle, April, Destiney and (Skyler), Cody, and Jayden; and her great-grandchildren, Averi, Xavier, Carson, Taevyn, Laekyn, Kolcyn, Keegan, Chloe, Brantley, Aaron, Daylan, Brianna, Riley, Cameron, Kion, Kannon, Brielle, Harley, Isabella, Benjamin, Karter, Hayzlee, Eastlyn, Jaicelynn, Hudson, Roselyn, and Dovelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Nellie Perry; her siblings, (Wilbur) Dean Perry, and Jean (Perry) Boyer; and her grandson, Zackary Hacker.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation will take place and no public services will be held.
