Herrin- Jimmie E. Vaughn, 72, of Florissant, MO formerly of Herrin died at 5:45 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at Christian Northeast Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Vaughn was born on April 20, 1930 to Robert Napolian & Verna Ivara (Crow) Vaughn. He married Lucille Webb on March 13, 1993 in Florissant. Jimmie was a self-employed residential plumber for more than fifteen years. He enjoyed his work. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Alton, IL and attended the Assembly of God in Florissant. Survivors: Wife- Lucille (Webb) Vaughn- Florissant Daughter- Brenda Vaughn- Denver, CO Dau & son in law- Robin & Dan Koker- St. Charles, MO Daughter- Julia Jacobs- St. Louis Daughter- Teresa Vaughn- Ellsbury, MO Daughter- Rose Marie Vaughn- St. Louis, MO Grandchildren: Ian & Thaia Highley- Denver, CO Justin, Jason, & James Jacobs- St. Louis Ashley & Earl Click- St. Charles Nathan, Justina, & April Griffith- Ellsbury Brother- Billie Vaughn- Peoria Sister- Ruth Eaton- Jackson, MO Sister- Virginia Moore- Wayne, MI Brother- Jackie Killam- New Market, IA Many nieces & nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters; Paul Vaughn, Joan Reese, Robert Vaughn, Helen Nieberkorn, Katherine Sapien, Marie Ollif, Carl Vaughn, & Blanche Vaughn. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2002 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Tom Hargrove will officiate. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery.
