Jerry Alan Purnell

Marion Jerry Alan Purnell, 43, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005 at 2:30 A.M. at his residence. Jerry was born April 16, 1962 in Kankakee, Illinois to Robert & Patricia Ann (Hurley) Purnell. He married Treva Mandrell on August 29, 1989 in Marion and she survives in Marion. Jerry was a heavy equipment operator. He attended Grange Hall Baptist Church, served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany. Survivors include: His Wife Treva of Marion Five Sons: Phillip N. Mandrell of Crab Orchard Travis C. Purnell of Marion Bobby Purnell of Montana One Daughter - Ruby Purnell of Montana Father & Mother Robert & Patricia Purnell of Marion Father-in-law & Mother-in-law: Hubert & Doris Mandrell of Crab Orchard Maternal Grandmother Ruth Reed of Creal Springs Brother Shawn P. Purnell of Marion Sister Vicki Chapman and husband Kerry of St. Louis, MO Preceded by: Brother Bobby Purnell Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2005 from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Military Rites will be performed at the graveside by VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147 of Marion.
