Jennie O. Gammill

Herrin- Jennie O. Gammill, 99, of Herrin, passed away at 3:57 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Herrin Hospital. Jennie was born on January 24, 1912 in Herrin to Angelo & Caesarina (Rossi) Oldani. She married Larry Gammill in 1934 in Detroit, MI. HE preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Survivors include: Niece- Linda and Larry Cox of Mulkeytown, IL Great Nephew- Matthew and Jenny Cox of Raymore, MO Great great nieces- Zaylee Ann and Ava Marie Cox of Raymore, MO Nephews- Robert W. and Joanna of Scottsdale, AZ Robert Wick of Normal, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,, three sisters- Netta (Oldani) Wick, Lena (Oldani) Meadows, and Louise Wilson and her brother- Robert W. Oldani, Sr. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at San Carlo Cemetery. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the graveside. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
