Jeffrey Don Mandrell

Jeffrey Don Mandrell, 57, of Marion passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 9, 2024.  He was born in Carbondale, Illinois on February 24, 1967, the son of Laurel and Wanda (Minton) Mandrell.

After high school, Jeff went on to pursue his associate degree at John A. Logan College. He was an avid reader, a wiz on the computer, and a collector of things that interested him.  He loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own children.  He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and taking good care of his mother.  He was known by his family and friends as someone who was always willing to give of his time helping others to make a positive difference in their lives.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Mandrell; his sister Lisa Mandrell; his nieces and nephews Karrie (Kevin) Harris, Jeremiah Mandrell, Leslie (Thomas) Fann, his great nieces and nephews Haley Harris, Hunter Harris, Miah Mandrell, Harper Mandrell, Nolan Fann, Maddyson Fann, Hudson Fann; his sister-in-law Linda Mandrell, along with aunts, uncles, special cousins and many close friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Laurel D. Mandrell; his grandparents Cecil Mandrell and Wilma Mandrell (Milo) Mifflin and Virgil and Thelma Minton; his brother Greg Mandrell; and special cousin Steve Mandrell.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 2:00 P.M at Pleasant Grove Cemetery located at 20002 Galatia Post Road Pittsburg, Illinois.  Those wanting to attend are invited to meet at the Cemetery shortly before 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests donations be made to Finding Forever Animal Rescue.
