Jeffrey Leon Fisher

Jeffrey Leon Fisher, born December 30, 1963, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 63.  He was predeceased by his parents, Dolly Hudgens (Kelton) and Kenneth Fisher, and his stepfather, Carl Hudgens, all of Marion, Illinois.  At the time of his death Jeffrey resided at Mary's Place a Cila group home in Flora, Illinois.

Although Jeffrey had physical limitations, he thoroughly enjoyed life, loved people, and had an impact on all who knew him. As a child, Jeffrey represented Illinois as the state Easter Seal Poster Child. In that capacity, Jeffrey attended numerous events representing Easter Seals, where he met four Presidents as well as assorted dignitaries.  He also participated yearly in the Lions Telethon of Stars. Jeffrey was a pure soul and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Arrangements were entrusted to Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the many angels that assisted with Jeffrey's care and helped to add value to his life. Staff at Taft House, Marion, Illinois; Staff at Mary's Place; Staff at Clay County Hospital, both in Flora, Illinois; Residential Hospice of Southern Illinois, and the many caregivers, social workers, teachers, and aids throughout the years.
