Jean Ann Pfleager

Jean A. Pfleager, age 82, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

Jean was born January 17, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of Elmer and Ruth (Seely)  Pfleager. Jean grew up and graduated High School in Columbus, OH.  She worked at a grocery store and at a restaurant as a waitress and also at various places as a secretary and in accounting.  She moved to Marion in 2010.  She enjoyed sewing and loved animals and her many pets.  

She is survived by four children, Kevin L. (Kim) Fleming of Marion, IL, Christopher (Debbie) Fleming of Marion, IL, Cory (Denise) Fleming of Louisville, KY, and Nichole (Steve) Johnson of Fort Wayne, IN; nine grandchildren, Rachale Elkins, Tausha Vernon, Dalton Fleming, Travis Fleming, Dustin Fleming, Megan Murphy, Benjamin Johnson, Chloe Johnson, and Zachary Johnson; ten great-grandchildren;  three siblings, Carol (Archie) Emswiler of Columbus, OH, Sharon Hanshaw of Columbus, OH, and Edward (Barbara) Pfleager of Little River, SC.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ruth Pfleager and sister JoAnn Walker.

Jean will be buried in Columbus, Ohio at a later date.  Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
