Jason Lee Grimes

Jason Lee Grimes, 56, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on June 8, 2026, at Axiom Nursing Facility in West Frankfort, Illinois.

Jason was born on May 9, 1970, in Marion, Illinois, the son of Harvey Grimes and Rebecca McGuire Grimes.

Jason enjoyed spending time fishing, listening to a variety of music, and hanging out with his friends. He will be remembered for the simple pleasures he found in life and the friendships he cherished along the way.

He is survived by his sister, Amy and Terry Foster; his nieces and nephews, Chantelle (Charlie) Messer, Terry Sneed, and Zachary Sneed; and his aunt, Rhonda Burnett, along with other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Grimes; his mother, Rebecca McGuire Grimes; his grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Axiom Nursing Facility and Residential Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Jason.
