James Phillips Haught, Sr

Marion James Phillips Haught, Sr, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at 7:14 A.M. at the VA Medical Center in Marion. James was born January 13, 1926 to Frank E. & Dena (Phillips) Haught in Johnston City. He married Jean Evelyn Batson and she survives in Marion. James entered the Navy on his 17th birthday, he was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. James was 17 and serving in Normandy on D-Day, he was in the Midway Campaign. James worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft Center in California for 15 years. He retired as a Lead Man for ACBL (American Commercial Barge Lines). James loved his Harley Davidsons and bird watching. Survivors include: Wife Jean Evelyn Haught of Marion Two Sons: James Phillip Haught Jr. and wife Jamie of Marion Vernon Lee Haught and wife Marianne of Lake of Egypt One Daughter: April Youvenne West and husband David of Marion Seven Grandchildren: Lee Phillip Haught of Marion Casey Ann Herzog of Marion Angela Dawn Haught of Lake of Egypt Eric Moon Haught of Marion Rican David Lee Haught of Marion Vernon Lee Haught of Marion Andrea Star West of Marion Three Great Grandchildren: Julia Marie Herzog of Marion Nicole Paige Herzog of Marion Angel Maria Haught of Marion One Brother Cleddis Haught of Goreville Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by: Parents, Grandson James Phillip Haught, Granddaughter Tanya Yvonne Haught, Four Brothers Frank, Perry, Fred and Charles Haught, Sister Helen Haught and Son-in-law Lance Herzog. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 1, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Jeff Baker officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 4th at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Cemetery.
