Marion James Phillips Haught, Sr, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at 7:14 A.M. at the VA Medical Center in Marion.
James was born January 13, 1926 to Frank E. & Dena (Phillips) Haught in Johnston City. He married Jean Evelyn Batson and she survives in Marion.
James entered the Navy on his 17th birthday, he was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. James was 17 and serving in Normandy on D-Day, he was in the Midway Campaign. James worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft Center in California for 15 years. He retired as a Lead Man for ACBL (American Commercial Barge Lines).
James loved his Harley Davidsons and bird watching.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 1, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Jeff Baker officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 4th at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Cemetery. VFW Post #1301 and American Legion Post #147 of Marion will perform military rites.
