James A. Meredith, age 82, of Freeman Spur, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Freeman Spur, Illinois as the result of a tragic car accident.
James was born March 05, 1939 in York County, South Carolina, a son of Jessie and Dolly M. (Poarch) Meredith.
He is survived by six children, James (Christina) Meredith, Shannon D. Meredith, Brandon Meredith, Brenda (Shawn) Herron, James Mannion, and Jerry Mannion; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Steven, Brittney, Laurie, Nichole, Ryan, Callum, Lucas and Erin; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hudson, and Maverick. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Steven Meredith.
The family will hold Celebration of Life Services at a later date.
