Iva Dell Summers

Marion Iva Dell Summers, 90, of Marion passed away at 11:15 AM on Sunday, June 24, 2012 in Marion Rehab & Nursing Center. Funeral services for Iva are scheduled for Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Noon in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverends Gilbert Craig & Ivan Ryan officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until Noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Iva was born, one of four children, to Arthur & Lou (Forte) Motsinger in Crab Orchard on Thursday, September 8, 1921. On Sunday, February 4, 1940 in Charleston, MO she married Gerald Summers; he preceded her on Monday, September 17, 2007. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ruth Ann Harris, Dale Motsinger, Larry Motsinger and Ken Schrader; special friends, Don & Joy King, Dale & Trina King, Dasia King and Dylan King. Iva was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents, Arthur & Lou; infant daughter, Glenda; son, Patrick; brother, Freeman Motsinger and sisters, Linnie Harris & Louise Schrader. Iva Dell was a homemaker. She had previously retired from Sunny Hill Nursing Home where she worked in the administrative office. She was a loving person who will be missed by her family.
